CHICAGO, Ill. – ECHO is introducing two new products to its lineup: the CS-490 saw and the GT-225L curved shaft trimmer.
The ECHO CS-490 is available in 16 inch, 18 inch and 20 inch bar lengths. It features a 50.2cc two-stroke engine and a dual-post chain brake handle. The G-Force Engine Air Pre-cleaner reduces air filter maintenance, and the automatic, adjustable clutch-driven oiler reduces oil consumption. The heavy-duty air filter with tool-less access provides superior air filtration for long engine life. A magnesium crankcase provides lightweight durability, while the chrome-plated cylinder extends engine life.
The CS-490 also is easy to operate and comfortable, weighing only 10.6 lbs. A vibration-reduction system reduces operator fatigue. Easier start-ups (hot or cold) are facilitated by a reduced-effort starter. A side-access chain tensioner makes chain adjustments easy.
ECHO also recently announced the first Arborist Fleet Discount Program to reward arborists and tree care companies who purchase ECHO chain saws, Power Pruners and related accessories with product discounts starting at 16 percent off MSRP and “no-hassle” financing.
The ECHO GT-225L features a 55 inch curved shaft that is 7 inches longer than the GT-225 and 3 inches longer than today's GT-230, providing extended reach for more comfortable trimming and access to hard-to-reach places. It has the same GT left hand grip which can easily adjust and rotate for operator comfort and edging. It uses the same shield with 16 inch cutting swath, and the same ball bearing supported trimmer head.
